Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM; on-call maximum 1-2 nights per 6-week schedule and 24 hours of weekend call per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
Monitor pediatric patients with compassion and specialized attention
Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe transitions from the operating room
Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed
Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes to support patient care
Deliver efficient, kind, and team-focused nursing care every shift

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
Experience recovering pediatric patients strongly preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Ability to work mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts plus on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
Pediatric patient care with sensitivity and patience
Comfort managing ventilated patients on pressors and blood products
Strong assessment and strip-reading skills
Team collaboration and willingness to float as needed
Efficient time management and adaptability
