Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 6-hour shift; schedule to be determined (RN - OR-General)
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment for cases
- Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OR team
- Monitor patient status, document care, and communicate changes promptly
- Support efficient case turnover and maintain a calm, organized environment
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives in the OR
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona RN or compact RN license preferred)
- Previous Operating Room experience preferred; perioperative nursing background a plus
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and/or CNOR preferred
- Comfortable with surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and intraoperative monitoring
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet health/immunization requirements
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Aseptic and sterile technique expertise
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and OR setup
- Patient assessment and intraoperative monitoring
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-stakes settings
- Time management and ability to support efficient case flow
- Calm decision-making during urgent situations
