Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room
• Circulate and scrub during a variety of surgeries, with a focus on orthopedic cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during surgery
• Document intraoperative care accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact state
• Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• Ability to circulate and scrub for multiple surgical specialties
• Commitment to patient safety and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Expertise in circulating and scrub roles
• Orthopedic surgical procedures knowledge
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle high-pressure situations
