Registered Nurse - Oncology Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry equipment
- Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage complex medication regimens
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
- Float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed to support patient care across the hospital
- Maintain sterile technique during procedures and ensure patient safety at all times
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Cerner EMR experience
- Strong telemetry and oncology nursing skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment dysrhythmia exam
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
- Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
- Sterile field maintenance and central line care
- Bipap and Cpap management
- Patient education and emotional support
- Floating comfortably between similar units
