Registered Nurse - Neuro Telemetry
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to neuro patients including those with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and brain tumors
- Titrate critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry to quickly identify and respond to cardiac changes
- Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and robust support team including nurse aides, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy
- Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Deliver bedside report and coordinate seamless handoffs in a fast-paced, high-turnover unit
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Neuro experience highly preferred
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
- Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
- Competent in titrating Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
- Comfortable caring for trached patients and managing complex neuro diagnoses
- Excellent sterile technique and infection prevention practices
