Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care to neuro patients in a 32-bed Level 1 Trauma ICU
Perform advanced neuro assessments and manage ICP monitoring with precision
Collaborate with world-renowned specialists at Barrow Neurological Institute
Float between ICU and Telemetry units while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
Support complex procedures including craniotomies, tumor removals, and spine surgeries
Maintain sterile technique during SIMs Lab skills and daily patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years ICU experience in a large hospital setting
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Strong neuro assessment and ICP monitoring skills
EVD experience required
3-6 months of travel nursing experience preferred
Cerner EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced neurological assessment techniques
ICP monitoring and EVD management
Ventilator management and critical care interventions
Floating comfortably between ICU and Telemetry units
Maintaining sterile field during catheter and line procedures
Adapting quickly to new equipment and facility protocols
