Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (exact start/end times TBD), orientation required, schedule to be confirmed

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric med/surg patients
Assess patients regularly and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
Participate in orientation and unit-based learning to support best practices

Qualifications

Current RN licensure (eligibility for California licensure welcomed)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Med/Surg and/or pediatric clinical experience preferred
Strong communication, assessment, and time-management skills
Compliance with required immunizations and background checks

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid pediatric assessment and age-appropriate care techniques
Med/Surg nursing skills including medication administration and IV therapy
Ability to educate and support families in a compassionate way
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
Teamwork and clear interdisciplinary communication
