Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days/evenings/nights (12-hour shift length); specific start/end times and assigned days vary by schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge plans
Document care and maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Experience working on Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) units preferred
Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and participating in rotating schedules
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred
Strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Medication administration and IV therapy
Post-operative and medical-surgical care fundamentals
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting
Team collaboration and patient/family education
