Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Magnesium and Oxytocin with precision
Support postpartum recovery and educate new parents on newborn care
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections while ensuring baby safety
Float to medical-surgical or emergency departments when extra hands are needed
Maintain accurate fetal monitoring using the OB Trace Vue system

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently in a rural setting with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines
Experience with neonatal CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Ability to titrate antepartum and postpartum medications safely
Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
Adaptability to float to other units as a helping hand
