Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy L&D unit
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes during delivery
Circulate during C-sections and support the surgical team with skill and calm
Support postpartum recovery for mothers and help with newborn care and education
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU units to support the entire women's services team
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN intermediate or advanced)
2-3 years of recent L&D experience
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Ability to circulate C-sections and care for postpartum patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
Comfortable with Cerner EMR and FetalLink system
Experience with high-risk deliveries and diverse patient populations
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexible and adaptable when floating between units
