Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' physical and psychosocial needs to develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Provide crisis intervention and maintain a therapeutic milieu on the unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and wellness strategies
• Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record system

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required
• Recent hospital experience within the last 5 years
• Willing to obtain Oregon RN license (we can help!)
• Willing to obtain relevant certifications (BLS, CPI, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to handle fast-paced situations
• Excellent communication and teaching skills to connect with patients and families
• Proficient in computer use and electronic medical records
• Ability to respond effectively to patient crises and emergency situations
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient and unit needs
