Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity patient care in the ICU with confidence and precision
Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and intervene promptly to ensure safety
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
Administer medications, manage complex IVs and drips, and document care accurately
Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication during stressful times
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active RN licensure in Louisiana or compact RN licensure eligible
Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
ICU clinical experience preferred; demonstrated ability to manage critically ill patients
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
Skilled in medication administration and infusion therapy
Ability to prioritize and multitask during high-acuity situations
Excellent bedside manner and family-centered communication
