Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory conditions
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision and safety
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while collaborating with the tele tech team
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining excellent patient ratios
Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes when required
Partner with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver seamless care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Willingness to complete open-book skills exam with 90% passing score

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with telemetry and drip titration expertise
Strong cardiac, trauma, and stroke assessment skills
Ability to manage vents, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Flexible floating between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg units
Excellent communication and quick decision-making under pressure
