Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
• Titrate life-saving medications including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics with precision and confidence
• Monitor and interpret telemetry independently while delivering compassionate, high-acuity patient care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Float across facilities within the zone to support patients at varying acuity levels from ICU to step-down
• Serve as a trusted advocate for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments

Qualifications

• Active Colorado or compact nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
• Epic experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable with independent drip titration and telemetry interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity settings
• Ability to float between multiple ICU types and adapt quickly to new units
• Excellent communication and teamwork across diverse care teams
• Proficiency with ventilators, CRRT, IABP, and Impella support devices
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and fill scheduling gaps as needed
