Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret cardiac monitoring to detect patient changes quickly
• Manage titratable drips and vasoactive medications while closely tracking hemodynamics
• Provide advanced respiratory care including mechanical ventilation, BIPAP management and tracheostomy care
• Perform and assist with critical procedures such as intubation, central line care and chest tube management
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis
• Document timely, thorough patient care in Meditech and coordinate handoffs with the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered critical care with a focus on safety and excellent outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (TX license or compact RN license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU / critical care nursing experience (per job details)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable with titratable drips, advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Experience with Meditech EMR and common ICU devices (GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Pyxis)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and interpreting rhythms
• Expertise in hemodynamics and titration of vasoactive drips
• Skill in mechanical ventilation management and respiratory support (BIPAP, trach care, Airvo)
• Familiarity with CRRT/Prismax, Tablo and SLED therapeutic modalities
• Proficient use of Meditech EMR, GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis systems
• Excellent teamwork, adaptability and communication in high-acuity settings
