Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality cardiac and telemetry nursing care on the 4 South Cardiac unit
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms to identify patient changes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, timely care
• Float to Med-Surg areas as needed (wound care, stroke, oncology, respiratory, observation, ED/Med-Surg boarders)
• Provide compassionate patient and family education and support
• Maintain competency by passing telemetry and Epic proficiency checks on day one

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) — Ohio practice location
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required (no refreshers or 1:1 shadowing allowed)
• Minimum 3 years of recent/current Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience with demonstrated rhythm interpretation skills
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and committing to every weekend
• Ability to pass competency testing for telemetry on day one

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring expertise
• Strong telemetry/stepdown clinical judgment and cardiac care skills
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record documentation
• Experience in Med-Surg, wound care, stroke, oncology, respiratory and observation settings
• Ability to manage multiple patients while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
