Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with care and precision, putting patient comfort first
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images for accurate diagnosis
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in line with facility protocols
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and best practices to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Troubleshoot basic imaging equipment issues and notify biomed or supervisors as needed
• Provide compassionate, clear communication to patients and families about procedures and expectations

Qualifications

• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• ARRT certification or equivalent credential preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
• Comfortable performing a variety of radiographic exams and following established protocols
• Strong patient care skills and professional communication
• Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient radiology setting preferred

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (or equivalent training and certification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in patient positioning and radiographic techniques
• Working knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical records
• Ability to follow protocols and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to calm anxious patients
