Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement patient care plans and provide treatments as directed by the physical therapist
• Obtain and document data related to patient responses and progress
• Collaborate with the physical therapist to modify care plans based on patient needs
• Assist in treating individuals of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life, with compassion and skill

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience
• Active BLS certification through AHA
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities (LTC/SNF)
• Active PTA license with Missouri or compact license at time of submission
• Certifications must be active at start date

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and treatment implementation
• Data collection and accurate documentation
• Collaboration with physical therapists and healthcare teams
• Knowledge of skilled nursing and long-term care environments
• Ability to engage with patients of all ages with empathy and professionalism
