Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple facilities in Zone 3
• Assess, prioritize, and triage patients based on acuity in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform point-of-care lab testing
• Interpret telemetry strips and closely monitor patients for changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with all required certifications
• Float seamlessly between facilities within the zone, adapting quickly to new environments and protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state (NLC)
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (AHA preferred)
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to float throughout the 60-mile zone and adapt to different facility protocols
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and assessment skills for a wide range of ED presentations
• Knowledge of emergency medications, standard drips, and protocols
• Comfort with float pool assignments and Just-In-Time scheduling
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
