Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-19-2026
End Date: 11-14-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized therapy interventions following each patient's plan of care
- Document patient progress and response to treatment with accuracy and compassion
- Empower patients through education and home exercise programs that support their recovery
- Keep supervising PTs in the loop with clear communication about patient status
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection control, and compliance in every interaction
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active state PTA license or the ability to obtain one before starting
- A collaborative spirit ready to follow treatment plans and work with interdisciplinary teams
- A passion for helping patients regain mobility and confidence
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy techniques and interventions
- Patient care with a focus on dignity and respect
- Clinical documentation that keeps care coordinated
- Patient education that inspires progress
- Clear communication with patients, families, and team members
- Home exercise programs to support continued recovery
