Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists with patient exams and procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for every patient
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant certification or the ability to obtain one
- Experience in orthodontics is a plus
- X-ray certification preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and dental terminology
- Familiarity with dental software and patient charting systems
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
