Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Take and process dental x-rays with precision and care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain the highest standards of safety
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care to promote excellent outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes with attention to detail
• Manage supplies and ensure the office is fully stocked for exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification is required
• Current Maryland Dental Assistant license or certification
• Radiography (X-ray) certification preferred
• Previous experience in an orthodontic setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and dental terminology
• Familiarity with Denticon practice management software
• Strong attention to detail
• Gentle and caring patient approach
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
