Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide top-quality dental hygiene care including cleanings and preventive treatments
• Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Take and process dental x-rays as needed
• Partner with the dentist to support exams and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and treatment rooms

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
• Excellent communication and chairside manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental cleaning and scaling procedures
• Familiarity with dental radiography (X-rays)
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Skill in using dental practice management software
• Compassionate approach to patient care, especially with children
