Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during patient procedures, including bonding, debonding, and wire adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take dental impressions and digital X-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Dental Assistant in Maryland
• Current X-ray certification required
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficient in sterilization and infection control protocols
• Skilled in taking impressions, X-rays, and using dental software
• Excellent patient care and chairside manner
