Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist during patient procedures, including bonding, debonding, and wire adjustments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental impressions and digital X-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Dental Assistant in Maryland
- Current X-ray certification required
- Experience in orthodontics is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Proficient in sterilization and infection control protocols
- Skilled in taking impressions, X-rays, and using dental software
- Excellent patient care and chairside manner
