Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the operating room for orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and positive surgical outcomes
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument/implant accountability throughout procedures
• Respond to on-call duties promptly and professionally during assigned call rotations
• Participate in pre-op and post-op patient handoffs and documentation to support continuity of care
• Support quality improvement initiatives and follow Regional West performance expectations

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• OR experience required with both Orthopedic (Ortho) and Neuro OR experience
• Level 1 or Level 2 OR experience for orthopedic and neurosurgery cases
• Willingness and ability to participate in weekend and weekday on-call rotations
• Comfort working 10-hour shifts and adapting to rotating schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and best practices
• Sterile processing, instrumentation, and surgical workflow
• Orthopedic and neurosurgical procedural familiarity
• On-call triage and rapid response in perioperative settings
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-stakes environments
