Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments from head-to-toe, recognizing and addressing complications promptly
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients throughout invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Manage vascular access devices including PICC lines, central lines, and IV insertion
• Interpret telemetry and respond to cardiac emergencies, including cardioversion/defibrillation
• Collaborate with radiologists and team members to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Adapt quickly to changing environments and handle multiple responsibilities across departments

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Active Missouri RN license or compact license
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• Experience in interventional radiology or similar procedural setting preferred
• Willingness to participate in weekend and weeknight call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in IV insertion, PICC/central line management, and vascular device access
• Skilled in telemetry interpretation and procedural sedation
• Familiarity with common IR medications (Versed, Fentanyl, etc.) and equipment (I-stat, ACT machine, Penumbra)
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication skills to explain procedures and address patient/family concerns
