Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat acute conditions
• Triage patients based on severity and prioritize care accordingly
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to interventions
• Provide patient and family education during crisis situations
• Act as charge nurse as needed to coordinate unit flow

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the State of Maine required
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse and preceptor experience preferred
• Ability to work variable shifts including days and evenings

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient in emergency procedures and protocols
• Flexibility to adapt to changing census and patient needs
