Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise daily activities of the Med Surg department to ensure high-quality patient care
• Collaborate with hospital departments, community healthcare professionals, and the public to integrate unit activities
• Work with the Nursing Administration Team to provide principled leadership and align nursing goals with hospital mission

Qualifications

• 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• 2 years of Med Surg Director experience
• Active Alaska RN Licensure required
• BLS and ACLS from AHA required
• PALS within 6 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety standards
