Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding dental hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, and root planing to patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
- Take and process dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and treatment areas according to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Experience in clinical dental hygiene preferred, but new graduates are welcomed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient education.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments.
- Knowledge of dental imaging and radiography safety protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and dental software.
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
