Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding dental hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, and root planing to patients of all ages.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
• Take and process dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and treatment areas according to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene preferred, but new graduates are welcomed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient education.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments.
• Knowledge of dental imaging and radiography safety protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and dental software.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
