Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle and thorough dental cleanings to promote oral health
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and take dental X-rays as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area to ensure patient safety
• Document patient care and update medical histories accurately

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• CPR certification (BLS) required
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Willingness to work on a per diem basis with flexible hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent clinical skills in scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis
• Strong communication and patient education abilities
• Familiarity with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Attention to detail and infection control protocols
