Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists during patient procedures, ensuring comfort and efficiency
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
• Capture and process dental X-rays as directed
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-care instructions
• Keep the clinical area fully stocked and organized

Qualifications

• State certification as a dental assistant or hygienist assistant is preferred
• Previous experience in a dental office is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate
• Current CPR/BLS certification is strongly preferred
• A warm, professional manner and strong communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with clinical procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization best practices
• Familiarity with dental software and digital radiography
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent patient communication and empathy
• Strong attention to detail and time management
