Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during braces and Invisalign procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Virginia
• X-ray certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in orthodontics preferred
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in orthodontic procedures including braces and Invisalign
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of dental software and digital record-keeping
