Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming—with compassion and dignity
• Provide safe and attentive care during transfers, mobility assistance, and meal times
• Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or eligible for state registry)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Compassionate approach to resident care and respect for patient dignity
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic patient care
• Understanding of infection control best practices
• Good documentation and basic charting skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with residents and families
