Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain clean, safe environments and follow infection control policies
- Document care accurately and participate in thorough shift handoffs
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to promote excellent patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility policy)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs and basic patient care
- Understanding of infection control and safety practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills (paper or electronic records)
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and reliability
