Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Take and accurately record vital signs and report meaningful changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and mobility support
- Document care provided, observations, and communication in resident records
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to support person-centered care plans
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred/required per facility policy)
- Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent training
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB testing as required by the facility
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals including ADLs and basic clinical support
- Accurate vital signs collection and basic patient assessment
- Infection control and patient safety practices
- Basic electronic charting and documentation
- Empathy, patience, and clear communication with residents and families
