Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and on schedule
- Document care delivered in facility records in a timely manner
- Support safe transfers and mobility, following facility protocols
- Maintain a clean, respectful environment and follow infection-control practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure each resident receives dignified, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active authorization to work in Pennsylvania (state requirements apply)
- Comfort with providing direct patient care and assisting with ADLs
- Ability to pass required facility screenings and background checks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and orientation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and safety
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Clear communication with nursing staff and residents
- Time management and reliable attendance
