Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support mobility and safe transfers while encouraging resident independence
Maintain a clean, safe care environment and follow infection control procedures
Communicate clearly with nursing staff and document resident care thoroughly
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (preferably in Pennsylvania) or equivalent state credential
Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable with hands-on resident care and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care skills including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance
Basic infection control and hand hygiene practices
Ability to take and chart vital signs and recognize notable changes
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Professional documentation and clear verbal communication
Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
