Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and condition changes accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing team with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention measures
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document resident care in the chart/EHR thoroughly and report any concerns to the nurse in charge
• Support resident dignity and person-centered care, helping create a positive daily experience

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-required licensure) — Pennsylvania licensure preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated patient care experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• Ability to pass background check and any required facility screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Reliable punctuality and ability to work an 8-hour shift

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and patient hygiene
• Knowledge of basic infection control and standard precautions
• Comfortable with vital signs measurement and basic charting
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Team-oriented mindset with good time management and situational awareness
