Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes in patient condition
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote comfort and prevent injury
Document care provided in a clear, timely manner and communicate effectively with the care team
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients
Collaborate with nurses and unit staff to deliver patient-centered care and contribute to positive outcomes

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Pennsylvania) or completion of an approved CNA program
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings (TB, immunizations)
Strong communication skills, empathy, and a patient-first attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to perform physical aspects of the role (standing, walking, assisting patients)

Education

High school diploma or GED; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and comfort measures
Vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
Familiarity with electronic charting or ability to learn EMR documentation
Teamwork, time management, and clear communication with patients and clinical staff
