Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Provide attentive, respectful bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, observations, and communications
• Follow infection control protocols and help keep the environment clean and safe
• Collaborate with nurses and other team members to ensure excellent, coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — eligible for Pennsylvania listed preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable working typical long-term care routines and with older adult populations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings or immunizations

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Infection control and universal precautions
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Basic charting and documentation practices
