Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe, clean, and comfortable living environments for residents
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient chart
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification/registration in Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date immunizations/TB screening per facility policy
- Compassionate patient focus and strong interpersonal skills
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Awareness of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
