Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents while maintaining dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
- Document care provided accurately and timely in resident records
- Support safe transfers and use of assistive devices to prevent falls and injuries
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (PA preferred) in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Reliable attendance and the ability to perform physical aspects of the role
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed and current CNA program/certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic nursing care procedures and infection control practices
- Comfortable with documentation and charting best practices
- Skilled at safe patient handling and mobility assistance
- Good observation skills to notice and report changes in resident condition
- Empathetic interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and families
