Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered care and assist with daily living activities
Safely assist with transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and independence
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
Document care and observations in a clear, timely way to support continuity
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and coworkers
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members
Support a positive, respectful environment that honors resident dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
Ability to follow care plans, chart accurately, and communicate changes to clinical staff

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Taking and interpreting vital signs
Basic infection control and safety practices
Safe resident transfer and mobility techniques
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Basic electronic or paper charting and documentation
