Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on daily care to residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Monitor and document resident condition and report changes promptly
- Collaborate with the nursing team to follow and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Support resident dignity and comfort through respectful communication and care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or completion of an accredited CNA program and eligibility to be certified)
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain after hire
- Comfortable with the physical demands of patient care and safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Compassionate communication with residents and families
