Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, following facility protocols
• Document care and observations clearly in the resident chart or EHR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-certified CNAs preferred; Pennsylvania certification recommended)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Compassionate demeanor with strong patient-focused values
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass required background and health screenings
• Ability to follow care plans, take direction, and communicate effectively with team members

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed Nurse Aide training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing assistant skills: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records or paper charts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Infection control, safety practices, and adherence to facility policies
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
