Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients — assist with ADLs and promote dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning to prevent falls and injuries
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
- Keep the care environment clean, stocked, and comfortable for patients and families
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the relevant state (required)
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/vaccinations
- Comfortable working 8-hour shifts and providing physical patient care
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
- Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
- Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic or paper charting)
- Teamwork, time management, and a calm approach under pressure
