Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Support safe patient transfers, mobility, and fall prevention
- Monitor and record vital signs; promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Assist the care team with specimen collection, basic wound care, and hygiene needs
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and families
- Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California (required)
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and handing off clear, concise reports
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Infection control practices and basic safety protocols
- Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
- Clear charting and documentation practices
- Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
