Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment following infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to support quality care
- Document care provided accurately and promptly per facility standards
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- High school diploma or equivalent (if required by facility)
- Experience in acute care or long-term care settings is a plus
- Must be compassionate, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Strong attention to detail in patient care and documentation
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control practices
- Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
