Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to adults in an acute care setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support admissions, discharges and safe patient transfers with attention to detail
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while following infection control protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the chart and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support interdisciplinary teamwork to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Comfort working in an acute care environment and supporting high-acuity patients
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
• Ability to follow policies, maintain patient confidentiality, and document care accurately

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification (state-specific credentials required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care techniques for acute settings
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Basic clinical assessment (vital signs, patient observation)
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
