Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs, basic clinical observations, and timely documentation of resident status
• Support safe transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to nurses and supervisors
• Help create a welcoming, dignified environment that promotes resident independence and comfort
• Participate in team huddles and handoffs to ensure continuity of care and clear communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with basic patient care tasks and following care plans accurately
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to support coworkers and residents
• Attention to detail for following care plans and reporting observations
